Ryan John Seacrest was born in December 1974 in Georgia. He originally dropped out of the University of Georgia but later received an honorary degree from them. He is a well-known television and radio personality and a producer of television shows. In 2002 he became a host of the television show American Idol, a singing competition. American Idol was very popular and through this show Ryan gained fame and recognition (Forbes).
In 2004 Ryan Seacrest started hosting a show called On Air with Ryan Seacrest. This is a syndicated daytime radio talk show. In 2005 he became executive producer and co-host of ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. In 2006 he started a television production company called Ryan Seacrest Productions which produced many reality television shows. In 2010 Ryan Seacrest won an Emmy Award for producing Jamie Oliver’s food show “Food Revolution.” He was given numerous Emmy nominations throughout the years including for “American Idol” and “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
Ryan Seacrest has made inroads into the fashion industry. In 2014 he started his own men’s fashion line in collaboration with Christopher Bailey of Burberry – tight-fitting suits, sport coats, evening wear, accessories, etc. His line of clothing is called Ryan Seacrest Distinction. His clothing line is sold at Macy’s. In 2017 with a collaboration of a dermatologist, Ryan Seacrest released a skincare line called Polish which offers five products for men. In 2010 Ryan Seacrest started a non-profit known as the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
This foundation has 10 centers at various children’s hospitals throughout the United States. Ryan Seacrest is listed in Forbes as being #29 on their 2020 Celebrity 100 list. Ryan Seacrest is also the executive producer of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” a smash hit show on E! and Netflix’s “Insatiable.” The show “Live!” he hosts with Kelly Ripa is listed as the most-watched syndicated talkshow during the pandemic.
