The nonprofit group known as NumbersUSA engages in advocacy of the concept that there are benefits to limiting the amount of immigration that is allowed in the United States on a yearly basis. The advocacy group is based in the city of Arlington, Virginia.
As of the current date, NumbersUSA has more than 5 million individuals that are participating in the organization. These participants are spread across all 435 of the United States’ congressional districts. The organization’s membership works to influence public officials to back immigration policies that serve the best interest of Americans. This includes foreign-born citizens of the United States.
Through its civil forums: NumbersUSA Action and NumbersUSA Education and Research Foundation, it enlightens the public, leaders, and policymakers on dangers posed by high immigration numbers on environmental, economic, and American Quality of Life.
The work done by NumbersUSA is designed to help in protecting American jobs and American wages. It is also designed to ensure that the quality of life in the United States is protected. The organization points out that excessive numbers in the immigration area can end up compromising these areas.
Roy Beck is the individual who founded NumbersUSA. He serves as the organization’s executive director. The goal of the organization is to act in a bipartisan manner to reduce the annual number of immigrants from the current number of around one million per year to half of that amount.
