John Sauter is founded and President of the company Tower 14 Capital. It’s a Los Angeles-based firm that is based in real estate investment. In August of 2019, the company made a commitment that was worth $60 Million to acquire interests that were based on real investments. The company that fit this vision of theirs was the only company called Middle Street Partners, a company that specializes in apartment real estate in Charleston SC.
Before working at Tower 14, Sauter was a part of CBRE Global Investors as the Senior Managing Director. At this company, John Sauter completed $2.0B worth of transactions. Where did the idea of Tower 14 Capital come from?
Sauter says that the name of the company came from the lifeguard tower that was near his house in Santa Monica. His wife and his anniversary are on June 14th. The idea of implement the name of the tower gave the metaphor that his company will give protection to his clients in the same way a lifeguard protects his shore of people.
What does your typical day look like and how do you make it productive?
Sauter starts his day at 4:30 am with a light workout, prayer/meditation, and inspirational music. He always says that the things that you do every day are the work you do before the actual work.
How do you bring your ideas to life?
