How Activision Blizzard Is Helping Retired Veterans

The call of duty Endowment began in 2009. It was founded to help acquire employment opportunities for veterans of the United States and the United Kingdom. Currently, the foundation is celebrating its achievement of placing over 100000 veterans into meaningful employment, which has happened two years earlier than expected.

According to Gen. James L. Jones, a retired United States Marine corps and a co-chair of the foundation, they are proud of the successful placement earlier than they had predicted. Their goal is to help many veterans transition into civilian employment.

The foundation started in 2009 after Activision Blizzard donated $125000 to paralyzed veterans of America. This grant was intended to create employment opportunities for the great soldiers returning home from the war in the Middle East.

After the recent achievement, Activision Blizzard has added an extra $30 million fund to the program. Their focus is now to create another 100000 quality jobs for veterans.

The call of duty endowment program also partners with other organizations in the U.S. and the U.K. to ensure that servicemen and women find excellent job opportunities after returning to civilian life.

According to Activision Blizzard co-founder and C.E.O. Bobby Kotick, the organization has made over $60 million in funding for employment initiatives for veterans. He also added that the expected call of Duty Endowment grant would help generate another 50000 placement opportunities.

All the proceeds from the purchase will help create suitable careers for underemployed and unemployed veterans. According to the video game company, the offer would only end after raising $2 million for the initiative.
