Bo Parfet’s Commitment to Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy

Starting a career in finance, Robert or “Bo” Parfet worked as an investment banker at J.P Morgan Chase in NYC and as a researcher at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. While employed at J.P. Morgan in 2003, Parfet went on a journey to conquer the Seven Summits: Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Denali, Vinson Massif, Aconcagua, Carstensz Pyramid, Everest, and Kosciusko. By 2007, Parfet had conquered his goal of climbing the Seven Summits, and stands as one of the 127 people to do so. His career shows a commitment to entrepreneurship and philanthropy, as he founded the Seven Summits Awards Program after completing all the summits. The Seven Summits Awards Program grants students in health-care related field research. Parfet also formed a partnership between the Explorer Club and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, his alma mater. The partnerships allow explorers of the summits to lecture at the University about the lessons they’ve learned as a mountain climber.

In 2012, Parfet focused on Denali Venture Philanthropy, which was founded in 2010 alongside his wife, Meredith Parfet. This foundation helps fund entrepreneurs committed to consciousness and social change. Denali Venture Philanthropy is an entrepreneurial and social venture to promote positive, creative, and sustainable improvements in people’s lives. Since 2020, Bo Parfet has been the Managing Director of the Prosperity Membership at DLP Real Estate. Parfet speaks at engagements at financial conferences and colleges to help ensure the safety of families in their residences.

Bo Parfet has received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and MA from the University of Michigan.
