Similarly, the Indian subcontinent has over 1.4 billion people and a growing economy. This means more demand for pilots. The people in the United States are also more frequently. With falling oil prices, tickets have become more affordable.
Bhanu Choudhrie points out that costly entry requirements tend to deter aspiring pilots. Most new pilots at regional airlines get poor compensation compared to the amount of money they are to spend to get relevant education and certifications. There is a need for congressional action to allow for easier entry of new pilots. Affordable financial aid is one such policy that can allow aspiring pilots to complete the education required without costing too much.
