Stephen is a graduate with a degree in Economics. He also applied for law classes at the University Miami School of Law. As Bittel was attending classes, he was also working on a real estate firm. He worked there so he could manage to support himself while in school. He eventually found his passion for business in the firm. Also, he could practice his business education in the firm. The real estate firm offered him a salaried job opportunity. Stephen passed his law exam and passed the bar. However, his main passion is business. He, therefore, quit working at the real estate firm and went to form his firm.
Stephen Bittel started up his firm with two shopping centers. He started up Terranova Corporation in 1980. As the company grew, Stephen purchased and leased more shopping businesses. In the processes, Stephen put his main focus on strip centers with a theme of supermarkets. He managed to build partnerships with other large Florida chains. People started moving to urban centers towards Miami Beach, and so did Bittel. He purchased more retail centers in eth urban areas. With time the company was covering more ground. It offered nice real estate services that made the company grow. In 2005, Stephen was awarded the South Florida Business Journal Award. It was the Ultimate CEO award. Stephen’s efforts and achievements have been recognized in the real estate industry, expanding his business and achievements.
