Tieks director Kfir Gavrieli is one man who knows what it means to be people’s hero. The gentleman has championed for women comfort and sustainability for a long time. Before founding Tieks, Kfir Gavrieli took his time to study the wearing trends of working women especially with regard to their footwear.
His probe into the subject that took a few months revealed a number of things. Top of the agenda was, women suffer a lot when it comes to finding the right footwear. Whether she has a car or not, 1 in three working women carry an extra pair of shoes in her bag, which she will change upon arrival at her work place.
In other words, Gavrieli noticed that a woman wears flats, usually the same type every working day, and upon arrival at her work station, she changes into heels. The routine repeats itself when it is time to head back home. With this, Kfir Gavrieli decided to offer these women a solution by founding Tieks.
He started by ordering high-quality animal leather from Italy, which is the primary ingredient for making shoes. Upon receiving the leather, Kfir Gavrieli turns it into comfortable flats that are now solving many women’s footwear problems. Since founding the company in 2010, Tieks has sold millions of flat shoes to women solely via the company’s website. Read this article for more information.
To help his clients further, Kfir started Gavrieli Foundation. As for this, Gavrieli aims at assisting all women, working class and the non-working. The startup offers women loans that are repaid at low interest rates. Thanks to the flexibility of the microloans, the startup has been able to service a tune of over $10 million in the past year alone. Gavrieli holds a Bachelor’s Degree, which he acquired from Stanford University. He also has M.S as well as MBA degrees, all of which he got from the same university.
