After the downfall of the Soviet Union in 1991 business was the next drive for Russia growth and Mr. Boris Ivanov left the public and shifted to the private sector as a financial consultant for upcoming oil businesses in Russia, in 1995 he returned to Moscow and took a position of Vice President in Unibest Bank working on financial and oil projects.

Later in the year 2000, MR. Boris was part of the team given the responsibility of reviving the Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (RSK MiG) which had experienced financial challenges, as the first Deputy Director-General for strategy he traveled wide seeking to turn around the Aircraft cash flows an effort which paid off. In 2004 he went back to the Petroleum business as an Advisor to the Chairman of Gazprombank OJSC in overseeing the bank’s projects in other countries. With his leadership skills, the subsidiaries gained a lot; for example in Namibia he negotiated a deal of $1 billion to build a power plant. Throughout his leadership at GBP Global Resources, he used to set his business goals, and the senior management will execute.
