About Vijay Eswaran
Vijay Eswaran was born on October 7, 1960, to Vinjayaratnam Saravamuthu, the founder of the Malaysian Hindu Organization. His mother, Pushpavanthy Chinnaiah, was a school teacher. He financed his education in the UK while working as a cab driver. He graduated in 1984 from the London School of Economics with a degree in Socio-economics. Vijay Eswaran traveled across Europe doing odd jobs for one year after his graduation. During this travel, he spent one month in a Franciscan monastery and took a 33-day vow of silence. He used this experience to write his first book.
Vijay Eswaran went back to the UK in 1985 and learned about binary system marketing from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He went to the US in 1986 and graduated with an MBA from Illinois University. While at the university, he works for Systematics as a part-timer.
Vijay Eswaran and the QI Group
Vijay Eswaran returned to Malaysia in 1998 and partnered with COSWAY Group to found QI Group. This Group of companies deals with businesses in Media, travel, education, telecoms corporate investments, luxury, and wellness. The duo also founded the QI city with several residential and commercial development.
