Boris Ivanov is a specialist when matters related to Project Management and Sales and Business Development. He is the Founder and Managing Director of a production and mineral exploration company called GPB Global Resources B.V. He has worked in different places of the world including Africa, the Middle East as well as South America. Boris Ivanov is a man who wears many hats. During the cold war, he was very instrumental in the USSR’s operations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His mineral exploration company was founded based on his extensive experience when it comes to matters of mineral exploration.
He formed GPB Global Resources B.V after having served in Gazprom, which is another big shot in matters of oil exploration. Currently, Boris Ivanov is main shareholder in Gazprom owing to a previous buyout process that happened a few years ago. Boris is an educated man. He is an International Relations degree holder and has his extensive research in diplomacy and international relations. After serving in the public sector for many years, Boris Ivanov moved to the public sector when the Soviet Union fell and settled in Moscow. His first work was in Unibet Bank as Vice President, where he was responsible for oil and gas exploration projects.
He steered the institution to make very big changes in the mineral exploration industry. Boris has a lot of his excellent experience when it comes to not just managing oil exploration projects, but scouting for new ones as well. In the past, GPB Global Resources B.V. struck a deal with a Namibian energy company to build a power plant in Namibia and South Africa. The transaction cost not less than 2 billion dollars, and it made him gain tremendous respect in the mineral exploration world. Boris is also a family man and lives in Moscow with his family. He can only be classified as a man with a vision to not only make mineral exploration easier but also to streamline the process so that every industry player benefits. Currently, his primary focus is in Africa since it is where he believes a lot of potential is untapped.
